Poetry | Cerys

No-one

There was no-one there
Not one person.
Not for her
Never for her.
Always for some-one else.
She had to get by on her own.
She wasn’t someone
But she wasn’t no-body.

Moments (or just one)
It wasn’t
Any particular
Time
Of any particular
Day
Or even
Any particular
Year.
It was just a moment
Where the sky
Was not
Light or dark
But  both.
It was a moment
Where love spread across
the world.
It was just a moment
But
A moment
That changed
The world.

Eyes flicker down, head moves just an inch, mouth opens to say something, then closes silently. Head tilts to the side, eyes stare into empty air, fingers spread a scrawl of words on the page.
