Where does water come from? | Mia Walker

Firstly it rains on the mountains. Next it drips into the underground aquifer. The aquifer is like an underground factory.

Sometimes the rain water is dirty so pipes lead it from the aquifer to where the water gets cleaned. Then they put some chemicals in it. It’s kind of like a big sieve and all the dirt gets stuck in there. It’s called a screen and the clean water goes through. The water goes to a tank; there is another pipe that all the dirty water is in and that leads it to the dump.

Then it goes to the pipes that lead it to the reservoir. The reservoir is where all the clean water goes. Then the pipes go to our houses and fire trucks and taps.

This happens all around the world in many different places.
